El Siete Leguas

Warning: Spoilers
The film is set at the time of the Mexican Revolution just after Madero's death. It features the village "Paredones" which is being subjected to the Federal army's corrupt rule.

Informed of this situation, Pancho Villa sends Rodolfo, one of his men, as an emissary to prepare the people for a siege which he is planning. To ensure that the mayor of the village can recognise him, he lends him his horse Siete Leguas, a gift from the mayor to Villa. Due to a need to be secretive in a village under the rule of the government, Rodolfo goes under the appearance of a "corridos" seller and he begins to organise and prepare the village for the attack.

Adelita, the mayor's daughter, discovers that Rodolfo is Villa's emissary and she warns him about the changing of loyalties of his father as a result of his love for Blanca, the federal General López' sister.

Then during a theatre performance, López pretends to receive a telegram announcing the death of Villa, and seeing the devastated reactions of the mayor and other supporters of the revolution, he decides to arrest them and orders their execution at dawn.

To try to save them, the revolutionaries decide to attack, but it is not enough so Adelita offers to go to Villa to get help. After many deaths on both sides, Villista reinforcements arrive and the revolutionaries triumph
