Sex & Nudity

  • Sexual innuendos are made through the movie.
  • A teenager attempts to seduce an older man. She strips down to her bra and panties. He accepts by unzipping his pants and asking her to perform oral sex. She runs away - they do not have sex.
  • A music video is played repeatedly in the background where a man is rolling around on a canopy bed with a woman.
  • A teenage girl seduces an older man by asking him about his underwear. She pulls off his pants. His underwear are shown.
  • A couple have sex off-screen, though the sounds are audible and obvious.
  • A girl takes off her bra without removing her shirt and then throws it onto a table; the bra remains in the scene for a while before someone finds it and shouts as soon as the girl leaves, "Hey, you forgot your thingy!"
  • A girl wears an apron over just her panties and makes sexual innuendos and gyrating movements. Teenage boys in the room react in an immature way. This is played for laughs. Later in the movie, a group of girls are dressed the same way.
  • A boy and a girl are making out passionately in a music listening booth.

Violence & Gore

  • A boy tries to hold up the record store at gunpoint. It is later told that the gun is full of blanks, but he does fire off several shots.
  • Two girls get into a fight; they scream and throw things around.
  • A teenager attacks a man. They fight and tussle for a few minutes. One of them gets a black eye.
  • A man drags another man into a back office and beats him up. Banging and punching are heard, and the younger man comes out holding his face as if its sore.
  • A young woman apparently attempted to commit suicide, her wrists are bound and the wounds are shown once, though it is not graphic.

Profanity

  • One use of "fuck", which is loud and easy to hear.
  • Mild profanities through the movie.
  • In addition to the profanity, there is a great deal of rough dialogue, name calling, screaming and innuendos.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • One character is secretly addicted to speed. She pops a few pills during the movie. Another character uncovers her addiction (a fight breaks out) and she has a breakdown as a result.
  • There is a large, raucous keg party in which nearly every character is seen either drinking beer or smoking a cigarette.
  • A van pulls up, opens its doors and smoke rolls out.
  • One character makes a pan of "special brownies". Another character eats those brownies and hallucinates.
  • A teenager drinks a beer and smokes cigars.
  • A character goes to Atlantic City and walks through a casino, characters in the background are drinking and smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • After her secret speed addiction is revealed, one character has a meltdown. She screams, throws things, hits things, hits people and basically goes on a total rampage around the store.
  • During a hallucination, a monster eats a guitar player. It's gross, but played for laughs more than anything.
