Steve Harvey was left hanging by a Family Feud contestant in a confusing moment during a Fast Money round.
The Charest family got a shot at winning $20,000 during their Fast Money round after winning a game of Family Feud.
Michael was the first of his family’s teammates to answer the survey questions and took his spot next to longtime host Steve Harvey.
Michael’s Fast Money round was shared in a clip on Family Feud’s YouTube channel in a video captioned, “Michael bails on Steve Harvey in Fast Money!! $20K??”
After Michael answered his five rapid-fire survey questions, the bell sounded, and the studio audience applauded his efforts, waiting for him to see his results.
But things took a turn when Michael made an on-stage faux pas.

Tamron Hall (“The Tamron Hall Show”) is ready to take on ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith (“First Take”) for a second round of “Celebrity Family Feud,” as the TV host said she heard Smith was allegedly spreading some cheating rumors.
“Aw, poor Stephen A. Poor guy. I’m telling you first; if Stephen A. would like a rematch, ‘The Tamron Hall Show’ is available. So you heard it here first!” Hall told TheWrap in a Wednesday interview while discussing the previous matchup against Smith and his team, which was made up of his family members.
“I heard, I didn’t see it, but I heard he alleged that we cheated,” Hall went on, in video you can watch above. “He is the ultimate competitor.”
The two journalists went head-to-head on Sunday, with Hall competing with friends. The episode even gained online attention after Hall gave a hilarious answer to one of the game’s question,...

Family Feud was hot, hot, hot last weekend as a group of Latino celebrities came together for one steamy battle.
Wilmer Valderrama, Ana Ortiz, Justina Machado and Amaury Nolasco formed Eva Longoria‘s crew. On the opposing side was George Lopez with his teammates: his daughter Mayan Lopez, Oscar de la Hoya Constance Marie and Ray Diaz.
There was no holding back when it came to Longoria’s team after they were asked about male strippers. Host Steve Harvey asked, “Name something the worst male stripper in the world might only have one of?” then Flores responded, “testicles,” and to...

“Flip or Flop” is anything but a TV ratings flop for Hgtv — Tarek and Christina El Moussa provide the popular Home and Garden cable channel with its No. 2 primetime series. That’s now all in jeopardy, following the marital breakup of the series’ stars. The El Moussas announced their separation to the world on December 12. The first original episode since that news broke was “Narrow Margin Flip,” which received 1.647 million total viewers on Dec. 15. On Dec. 22, “Fast Money Flip” settled for 1.580 million. The proximity to the holidays could explain the 4.1 percent decline for that...

Some “Family Feud” contestants crack under the pressure — especially during the stressful Fast Money round. Kai Trimble is not one of those “Family Feud” players. She absolutely smashed the first round of the game show’s final segment, scoring a whopping 194 points all by herself earlier this week. The confident Kai even appeared to drop an “I told you so” to host Steve Harvey on her way back to the family. With four of the five Number 1 answers on the board, Kai left partner Laurence only needing six points. She got those on the first question, with three to.

Snoop Dogg and his family squared off against boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and his brood on Sunday's Celebrity Family Feud, where one of the questions aligned with one of the rapper's areas of expertise: Marijuana. Unfortunately, the answers didn't go Team Broadus' way.

Snoop hit the buzzer with lightning speed with the answer, "Put hands on him," an answer that needed further clarification from the judges. Former Viacom CEO Tom Freston thinks his successor Philippe Dauman is the cause of the company’s current struggles, and called on its board to replace him. Appearing on CNBC’s “Fast Money” on Wednesday, Freston told host Michelle Lee that Dauman, who was named CEO by Sumner Redstone in 2006, is unfit to lead an entertainment company. “You can’t run an entertainment company through lawsuits, through litigation,” Freston said. “I think it requires more deft management than maybe they’ve had in the past. Hodor is universally loved by 'Game of Thrones' fans for his adorable personality and steadfast loyalty. Those traits sadly do not translate into a winning game show contestant. Jimmy Kimmel had some fun replacing the poor girl who choked completely during the Fast Money round with Hodor and the results are just as cringe-worthy. You'll laugh, but then you'll feel bad. As the great Albert Einstein once said, "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Family Feud is just the tree to Hodor's fish. ...

If you're not familiar with The Feud, née Family Feud, the "Fast Money" portion of the game is a rapid fire round in which two family members are picked to play and, between the two of them, must accumulate 200 points in order to win $20,000 (or, "Twe-nty. Steve Harvey asks his daughter, Anna Sass, how many points she will need to win. She surprisingly answers correctly (18). That is the only correct answer she gives... Rumors have been swirling for years that Facebook would create a new online music service, which if any company could give Apple a run for its money, it’s Mark Zuckerberg’s web-baby. The La Times is suggesting that the new service could be launching at Fb’s own F8 developer conference being held on September 22 in San Francisco.
On the show “Fast Money Halftime Report,” John Forter, a technology reporter for CNBC, gave his thoughts on Facebook entering a market that is becoming increasingly competitive with new services like Spotify, Google’s Music Beta, and Apple’s “cloud” storage.
“Next month is going to be a big one for music. I’m hearing from someone familiar with the plans that Facebook plans to launch its long-rumored music service at the F8 conference on September 22," he said. "Now, it seems likely that Facebook won’t actually host the music,...

Fast money for a racing movie. Fast Five premiered in the Number One spot at the box office this weekend with $83.6 Million. I do not think anyone was expecting such a large take from Fast Five. It seems Universal Studios was right to prep The Fast and the Furious 6. Rio was Second with $14.4 Million for $103.6 Million so far. Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family was Third with $10 Million. Water for Elephants was Fourth with $9.1 Million. Prom premiered in Fifth with $5 Million. Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil (which premiered this weekend), Soul Surfer, Insidious, Hop, and Source Code rounded out the top ten respectively.

First-quarter cable ratings were released today, and Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck had the steepest declines again among cable news programs. The show from the polarizing talk-show host, whose future at Fox News beyond this year is uncertain, drew 1.9 million viewers, down 30% from 1Q 2010, and 462,000 in the 25-54 demo, down 37%. Still, Beck dominated his 5 Pm slot and ranked as the fourth top-rated cable news program. Overall, Fox News logged its 37th consecutive quarter win with an average of 1.9 million viewers in primetime. CNN and MSNBC were jockeying for second place. MSNBC (841,000 vs. 795,000) prevailed in total viewers, and CNN edged MSNBC in the demo. On the broadcast news side, Katie Couric, who will likely exit CBS Evening News in June, saw her newscast slip a tiny bit year-to-year. It averaged 6.43 million viewers, 1.98 million in 25-54, down from 6.45 million and 2.02 million, respectively a year ago and a new all-time low for CBS Evening News.

"Placebo Effect" was the second half of a dark, unusually complex two-part episode of Archer (picking up where "Stage Two" left off). How did the TV Fanatic staff feel about it?

As the host of any show, your main job should be keeping your composure. But apparently, with a show like Family Feud, you simply have to learn to expect the unexpected.
While in the final round of the game show, the Fast Money round, contestant Secile here had to come up with an answer when the show surveyed 100 men and asked them to "Name a part of your body that is bigger than it was when you were 16." We won't ruin it for you, but Secile's answer suddenly stops the show, leaving host Steve Harvey at a complete loss for words.

Last night, real-time financial-news network StockTwits celebrated its second year at a rooftop bar in midtown Manhattan. To promote the event, the company released a clip from Wall Street--the famous scene where Gordon Gekko espouses to shareholders about the virtues of greed--with StockTwits CEO Howard Lindzon blue-screened over Michael Douglas, giving a dubbed speech which played off the original lines. The message was clear: StockTwits aims to be the modern platform that traders rely on--an iPhone app to replace Gekko's bulky 1980s-era cell.
"The point is, you Fast Money [and] Yahoo's, StockTwits, for lack of a better word, is good," boasted Lindzon.
Among the cocktail chatter and victory-cigar smoke, the celebration made it seem as if StockTwits had already overcome the company's enormous competitors CNBC and Yahoo. But as Lindzon explains, StockTwits has a long way to go.

We've seen changes to The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune and a big change to the Jeopardy set. Now Family Feud has changed things too.
The show no longer has a set-in-stone jackpot in the final "Fast Money" game that the winning family plays. Instead, at the start of the show, each family starts with $15,000 in their "Jackpot" and then there are five quick "Bullseye" rounds where the familes have to guess the number one answer to a question. Question one gives you $1000, question two gives you $2000, and so on. Whatever you win is added to the bank and that's the amount you play for. It's great if you get a few questions right, but not so great if you don't (this is actually something they had on the show in the 90s and have brought back).

PBS carves its own niche in financial news
Q&A: Maria Bartiromo
Q&A: Neil Cavuto
The financial meltdown has left entertainment companies struggling with declining ad revs and the downsizing of operations.
But one media niche -- financial news nets -- has thrived in the depressed landscape, as people on Wall Street and on Main Street alike try to make sense of the money malaise.
While recessions typically dampen ratings of business channels, it's the reverse for these players.
Flush with cash, a growing, or at least stable, number of viewers, and advertisers still looking to reach the well-heeled, CNBC, Fox Business Network and Bloomberg TV are each hungry to wrest an advantage -- and eat each other's lunch.
Biz news hasn't been this prevalent in the headlines for years.

Hip-hop mogul Dr Dre's mother is set to release a book of memoirs revealing all about her son's rise to fame.
In her upcoming tome Long Road Outta Compton, Verna Griffin documents her struggle from rags to riches, thanking her rapper son - real name Andre Young - for turning her life around.
The 58-year-old tells how she went from digging in the sofa in hope of finding coins to living in a multi-million dollar house and receiving a regular income courtesy of her Grammy-winning son.
But the star wasn't always the ideal son, and Griffin constantly worried about his close friendship with Eric 'Eazy-e' Wright - fearing the late rapper, who lived a flashy lifestyle despite having no permanent employment, would lead Young into a life of crime.
She says, "I was worried that Andre would be drawn to the glitter of what drug money could buy. Fast money is not good money."
And Griffin also reveals her shock at the lyrics Young's group N.W.A. came up with on tracks like F**k Tha Police - until she witnessed her son being arrested for no obvious reason.
She adds, "When I looked on the past, I could remember my boys standing outside having a friendly conversation when, all of a sudden, I'd... see the police with all of them spread-eagle up against the police car.
"This harassment was for no obvious reason except they saw black boys grouped together, and presumed to be up to no good. It was then I realised that the lyrics were just stories about things that were actually happening."
In addition to the release of Griffin's memoirs, Young's former associate Bruce Williams will also launch his own book about the star, Rollin' With Dre: An Insider's Tale Of The Rise, Fall And Rebirth Of West Coast Hip Hop.
