Unusual film, well worth seeing.

I agree with Mice Elf this film can take viewing more than once. I remember working on it before it was released in 1995 and I have not seen it since. For a film to remain as clear in my memory as this one over that time demonstrates the quality. It contains both the simple and the complicated elements of growing up, in this case set in a small Welsh town in the '50s / '60s which gives a backdrop of sparseness and beauty. Sensitively directed by writer Endaf Emlyn, undoubtedly on a small budget, it can show a clean pair of heels to a lot of over hyped drama productions today. Very difficult, if not impossible I imagine, to see a screening of this hidden gem today, thirteen years after its release. That is a great pity.
