Plot Summary

The story of two immigrant couples: Teresa and Angelo, and Pierina and Massimo. While fighting for survival in the new world, Massimo and Teresa unexpectedly develop feelings for each other. They react against family and cultural traditions, leave their partners, and head toward a new destiny.
