A solid good yarn.

A solid good yarn.A beautifully multilevel piece of drama. Nigel Hawthorne is excellent. Its about medicine, about relationship, about international politic and about healing. There are so many levels in this TV film ,that anytime you think you got an handle on it.This film surprises you again. I love it. Very good brain food.

Patrick Lau's direction is outstanding

Patrick Lau is one of the UK's most outstanding directors, and he delivers the top quality The Fragile Heart with Nigel Hawthorne in the lead role. Nigel will always be remembered as Sir Humphrey Appleby in Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister, and he excels as an eminent heart surgeon in this fine mini-series.

Most of the series was filmed in the UK, with some scenes filmed in the Australian outback. This is top notch drama.
