How former costars of “Beverly Hills, 90210” Tori Spelling and Shannen Doherty went from being besties to becoming plain acquaintances is surprisingly a mystery even to them.
The stars who played Donna Martin and Brenda Walsh in the 1990 teen series recently reunited at Shannen’s podcast “Let’s Be Clear” on Monday, April 22 to take a trip down memory lane on how their friendship fizzled out.
At first, the “Girls Just Want To Fun” actress narrated how prior to the show, she and Tori sat down to factor the reason for their breakup but came up short, “because it’s like one minute, we were friends, and then one minute we weren’t.”
Tori on the other hand admitted that she has always been one to be easily “swayed” and that might have been the cause. Shannen agreed, adding, “You were always easily swayed. And it was very frustrating for...

Cherie Blair is heading to the Monaco Streaming Film Festival at the end of May to discuss project The Rock Pile.
This one has been in development for a few years with Blair attached as exec-producer in her first film role.
The project has gone through some changes since we last wrote about it pre-pandemic. It will now follow a female Time magazine correspondent who while on assignment in Jerusalem uncovers a story of three young boys of different faiths who are brought together through soccer. Hugh Bonneville is no longer attached.
Alexandra Milchan, exec producer on The Wolf Of Wall Street and producer on upcoming Cate Blanchett movie Tar, is now producing.
John Deery (Conspiracy Of Silence) is still aboard to direct the English-language film and will attend the Riviera festival with Blair. David McBrayer (Beat The Drum) has scripted the project which is also produced by Deery for Joejack Entertainment,...

BlockFilm, a Canada-based financing platform, is bringing private investors and content creators together via a safe financing online platform using digital security tokens, the company announced today.
Digital security tokens using blockchains to connect private investors with content creators are something fairly new that has been used in real estate, for example, says Pauline Couture, co-ceo of BlockFilm. Together with Suzette Couture, no relation, she set up the global platform that they started working on in 2019 with backing from the Canada Media Fund. Pauline is based in Toronto while Suzette is headquartered in Los Angeles. Film producer Charlotte Mickie is also part of the company.
“We have a reputation of playing well with others,” Pauline Couture said. “Everyone has financing issues in indie films.”
BlockFilm offers private investors a place to put their money and gets indie filmmakers financing, with the idea of getting passion projects to completion faster. The...

Nent Group’s Swedish label Brain Academy is plotting two major films from A-list writing-directing teams. The first, “The World Council of Magic,” is helmed by “The Most Beautiful Boy in the World”’s Kristian Petri, based on a screenplay by genre-bending author John Ajvide Lindqvist(”Border,” “Let the Right One In”).
”The World Council of Magic” is my first script not based on one of my stories,” said Lindqvist, often dubbed the Stephen King of Sweden. The film deals with a group of elderly magicians of the practical kind. In their hungry youth, they searched for the secret behind actual magic. Now, when they’re in their seventies, one of them gets the long-awaited revelation that allows him to manipulate the material world with his mind,
“Magic, real magic! But like with all great powers, it comes at a high – and bloody – price” said Lindqvist. “Despite their own lack of powers,...

On tonight’s Lifetime movie No One Would Tell, every parent’s nightmare is enacted as a cautionary tale, told in flashback as a mother (Shannen Doherty) gives testimony about her missing daughter in court. Her daughter Sarah, a bright, bubbly high schooler, went missing and that is the focus of this chilling film that tackles domestic violence. No One Would Tell shows the artful work of a master manipulator in pretty packaging, an all-American good looker named Rob Tennison who appears to have it all — money and a bright future. Except Rob is a psychopathic and quite possibly a murderer. […]

Who knew we would ever see a chef have to leave before the first challenge was over? But sadly, on Wednesday night's premiere of Top Chef Masters, chef Missy Robbins cut her finger to the point that she had to leave the competition to get surgery. She didn't want to "pull a Jamie" (as I call it) and go to the hospital. She wanted to just tape it up and keep cooking, which is a testament to her dedication. But in the end, no one could blame her for packing her knives.
Still, I caught up with Missy to talk about what happened. Check it out!
Ology: Hi Missy! It sucked seeing you go out like that... how did you feel?
Missy: Like a total loser (laughs). I was obviously not very happy about it. It was a big decision to decide to go on this show in the first...

The big showdown from the Mar. 12 Raw, live in Cleveland, Ohio is a musical battle between John Cena and the Rock.
We're two weeks away from "WrestleMania 28" on Sun., April 1. Live from the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Florida, headliners Cena -- the face of World Wrestling Entertainment -- will be squaring off against wrestler-turned-movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson at the Super Bowl of wrestling.
But before we get ahead of ourselves, onto this week's showdown:
Opening Segment: John Cena's Battle Rap
Watch On WWE Fan Nation
Cena comes out in full "Doctor of Thuganomics" gear, complete with Cavaliers jersey. Despite the local sports team pandering and wrestling fans' love of nostalgia, Cena is met with a divisive crowd. He lays down some pretty vulgar rhymes, including wanting to give Rock a Cleveland steamer. Cleveland, uh, appreciates(?) the shout-out.
When John Cena used to do this Mark Wahlberg...

Brendan, star of the new film Extraordinary Measures , tells HollywoodLife.com his three little boys changed his life.
We caught up with Brendan Fraser at an NYC screening of his new film Extraordinary Measures Jan. 21 hosted by The Cinema Society, and he couldn’t stop gushing about his family. Brendan, plays John Crowley in the tear jerker – a father whose two youngest kids suffer from a debilitating genetic disease called Pompe. We wanted to know what he considered to be the most ‘extraordinary’ thing he’s done in his life, “the most extraordinary thing I’ve ever done was to have children.” Brendan plays a very devoted father and husband to Keri Russell , his onscreen wife. In real life he is the proud father of three little boys, Griffin, 7, Holden, 5, and Leland, 3.
Brenden became very close with the Crowley family — the actual subjects of the film, and especially became with their daughter Megan.
