Sex & Nudity

  • Multiple framed pictures photographs, cartoons and magazines displayed shows nude women with full rear nudity, breasts, woman with male genitalia, and a cartoon erect penis.
  • In one scene, Larry Flynt is shown giving a monologue about war and sex. Behind him, we see some images where there's explicit female nudity. The nudity is evident at the beginning but then it can be easy easy to miss.
  • Some naked statues are shown during the movie.
  • Larry Flynt's wife is often shown in clothing that exposes her breasts. Sheer fabric, fishnet, etc.
  • A man is shown in a hot tub with his wife and two other women. Male and female full rear nudity is shown.
  • A scene of a photographer taking pictures of a scantily clad woman on a bed. Nudity includes breast cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • Two characters are shot by a sniper, with realistic blood loss. One of the men is paralyzed by his injury.
  • A woman tells a man that she has AIDS; we see her condition gradually deteriorate thereafter until her death (she accidentally drowns in a bathtub, though we only see her motionless body afterwards).

Profanity

  • Loads of strong language including numerous uses of fuck and shit.
  • There is alot of crude and sexual dialogue which is graphic in nature.
  • There are 26 f-words.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The characters mostly inject drugs. After doing so, we see some marks on their arms.
  • Two of the main characters become dependent on drugs. Casual drinking and smoking throughout.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are some highly emotional scenes especially towards the end.
  • An angry undertone builds throughout the movie, and the main characters' emotions are explosive and add to the overall emotionality of the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Two men are shot by a sniper. This is pretty violent but both survive but one of the men are paralysed.
  • Althea's death scene is highly emotional and can be unsettling. Upon finding her body in the bathtub, Larry Flynt understandably goes into panic, attempts to revive her and screams for help, but she does not move and he eventually breaks down into tears.
