There was another post-credits scene that was shot for Thor: Ragnarok but it was never used. It's the second after-credits scene that involves Jeff Goldblum's The Grandmaster. After the credits roll, we see The Grandmaster being confronted by a group of angry citizens on junk piles of Sakaar. He applauds them for their revolution and takes credit for it by saying that there could have been no revolution if they didn't have anyone to revolt against.
Director Taika Waititi has confirmed in a new recent interview with Collider he shot a different version of the ending that would have taken The Grandmaster to Earth! He explains:
"We were determined to not have too many of them. The thing [with Loki and Thor], that was the thing we did in reshoots. It was a last minute decision. And the other thing at the end, with The Grandmaster, was something we shot on Gold Coast...

If there is one thing we’ve learned from Taika Waititi’s post-launch assessment of Thor: Ragnarok, it’s that the threequel enjoyed (endured?) a lengthy creative process.
Not only did Ragnarok‘s early cuts “fail miserably,” but Waititi and his team trimmed a fair amount of footage in the build-up to release, including one Lgbt scene featuring Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie.
Turns out that Marvel also toyed around with multiple post-credits scenes, before settling on the two included at the very end of Thor: Ragnarok. And as Taika Waititi tells Collider, one such alternative featured The Grandmaster seeking passage on an Asgardian ship, one that would presumably take him to Earth…just in time for Avengers: Infinity War.

Filmed on the Gold Coast, and with more than a few traces of Puberty Blues, the coming-of-age film follows what happens to three neighbouring families on a quiet suburban cul-de-sac when an extraordinary event shakes up their lives. Swinging Safari's cast includes Asher Keddie, Julian McMahon, Radha Mitchell and Jeremy Sims, and will be released on 18 January 2018

Marvel’s offbeat blockbuster was forged in a giant multicoloured playground on Australia’s Gold Coast. We visited Chris Hemsworth and Cate Blanchett to talk workout routines and everyday heroism
I am standing on the steps of a grand staircase in Asgard, home of the hammer-wielding superhero Thor, played with deadpan charm and a stately English accent by Chris Hemsworth. This is a bustling intergalactic metropolis, with lustrous buildings reaching toward the heavens and sweeping terraces glistening beneath majestic skylines.
Or at least it will be. I’m in a town square, surrounded by retro huts and buildings lined with green vines and red roses, but the place is sparse and unpopulated: just me and a handful of others investigating the scenery. On top of most edifices are large sheets of blue material, which, I am told, are “digital extensions” – empty canvasses that will be adorned in the editing room with CGI skylines.

Liam Hemsworth really knows how to get our hearts racing. On Tuesday, the actor took a break from filming his new movie, Killerman, to hit the beach on Tybee Island in Savannah, Ga. Liam ditched his shirt to show off his fit physique and arm tattoo, and he even flashed a cute smile at photographers. While Tybee Island may not seem like much at first glance, it actually holds special significance for Liam and fiancée Miley Cyrus. The couple met while filming The Last Song together on Tybee Island, so it's actually the place where their love story began. Aw! Justice League continues to gobble up headlines left, right, and center ahead of its long-awaited release date, but once the Caped Crusader has rallied the League and Steppenwolf has fallen, the Powers That Be will begin directing our attention toward Aquaman.
Pegged to arrive late next year, James Wan’s starry standalone pic is said to be steeped in horror, which isn’t all that surprising for a director that cut his teeth on Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring franchise – the latter of which has since become a full-blown film universe at New Line.
If nothing else, Wan’s horror heritage is a sure-fire sign that Warner Bros. is about to deliver something truly different in 2018, given the Dceu has so far been defined by po-faced blockbusters, brooding heroes and, thanks to Wonder Woman, an inspired origin story. Let’s just hope Justice League is able to build on that momentum in four weeks’ time.

Meet Alex Russell, the 29-year-old Australian actor whose breakthrough role in 2012’s inventive found-footage sci-fi superhero thriller, Chronicle, has paid off in spades. Five years after the release of the film, the not-so newcomer is preparing for the simultaneous release of three projects: real-life, big-screen adaptations Jungle, opposite Daniel Radcliffe, and Only the Brave, with Miles Teller and Josh Brolin, along with the upcoming premiere of the CBS drama, S.W.A.T., starring Shemar Moore.
It’s been a nonstop ride for the actor ever since. Before 2017 rolled around, Russell -- whose first credited role came just seven years ago -- had a whirlwind year filming four movies back-to-back, taking him from Los Angeles to Colombia to Mexico to the Gold Coast with a quick 24-hour respite in between in Nashville to reunite with his love, Goliath star Diana Hopper, for a wedding.

Chris Hemsworth may be reprising his role as Thor in the upcoming Ragnarok installment, but on Friday, the Australian actor ditched his suit of armor to show off his shirtless body along the Gold Coast of Australia. Chris was spotted cooling off his large biceps and chiseled abs in the ocean before heading out to lunch with friends. Chris's fun outing comes a little over a week after the actor opened up about how his career put a strain on his marriage to Elsa Pataky. "In terms of work, she's certainly given up more than I have," Chris said in an interview with GQ Australia. "She'd like me to step back and be at home with the kids more, and of course, I want that too. But I feel like I'm at this crucial point in my career - I've just got to set up for longevity or I'll slip off.

Much digital ink has been spilled over Thor: Ragnarok and its ties to Planet Hulk.
How has Greg Pak’s beloved comic influenced the story, if at all? Does Ragnarok feature any particular character plucked from the arc? And will Bruce Banner’s time on Sakaar lay the foundations for a Hulk solo movie? Granted, it appears the answer to that question is a straight up ‘no’, but during an interview with Screen Rant, one conducted on the film’s Gold Coast set last year, producer Brad Winderbaum recalled the ways in which Planet Hulk had a bearing on Thor: Ragnarok. And it’s not what you might expect.
Rather than pitch Ragnarok as a one-to-one adaptation of Pak’s comic book line, it would seem the connective tissue between Taiki Waititi’s story and that of Planet Hulk is more incidental than intentional. Guess Ragnarok won’t be the...

When David Wenham was offered the role of the police sergeant Jock Crawford in the miniseries Wake in Fright he initially recoiled at the idea.
As a passionate admirer of Canadian director Ted Kotcheff.s seminal 1971 movie based on the Kenneth Cook novel he thought the idea of a remake was ridiculous.

Of course, we won’t know for sure what we’re in for until those first reviews surface, but so far, it seems promising. And that sense of optimism is now starting to build around other projects in the franchise, too.
In fact, just this week we heard some very exciting things about James Wan’s Aquaman, which is beginning to emerge as something of a dark horse for the Dceu. The titular character has a long history in the comic books but has always been seen as something of a joke by fans.

Aquaman, the upcoming sixth entry into the DC Extended Universe, has one heck of a terrific cast list. With Jason Mamoa as the King of Atlantis, there’s also Amber Heard as Queen Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Vulcan and Temuera Morrison and Nicole Kidman as Arthur Curry’s parents. It doesn’t stop there, either, as it’s now been revealed that another important figure is also in the mix.
Actor Michael Beach was asked on Twitter this week if he’s playing supervillain Black Manta’s father in the movie and replied with a very cryptic, but also telling, response: “Yes or no… Correct!”

The quaint coastal town of Amnesty Bay plays host to The King of the Seven and his many allies in this latest batch of Aquaman set photos.
Production on James Wan’s grand 2018 adventure continues apace, and after taking a moment to cast the spotlight on Amber Heard’s Mera – for the record, the Queen of Atlantis’ lime-green attire was a far cry from the battle suit glimpsed in that action shot from Justice League – Gold Coast Bulletin (via Cbm) has now relayed a fresh helping of set pictures that draw attention to both Amnesty Bay, a gang of bikers, and Jason Momoa’s towering stunt double.
Those familiar with the DC lore will know that Amnesty Bay serves as the home of Tom Curry, a local lighthouse keeper who adopts the would-be King of Atlantis from an early age. From that point on, and after being christened Arthur Curry,...

You might think that toned looking individual in the photo above is the film’s star Jason Momoa. Sadly it is not. It’s his stunt double. Momoa wasn’t on set this day so we’ll have to settle for this incredibly jacked guy instead. Director James Wan released the first photo of Amber Heard as Mera from Aquaman. She looks great in the role and I love the costume. It looks like she stepped right out of the comic books! The photo came with the following caption:
Lady Mera swept in from the sea. First day with the exquisite Amber Heard. (Shot by the talented @jasinboland)
The film is currently shooting on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia. One of the reasons I'm so excited about this movie is because Wan is directing. I'm a huge fan of his films and his film-making style and I'm excited to see what he does with this movie.
Aquaman will center on Aquaman as a reluctant ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis who is caught between land dwellers that are always polluting the globe and his own people who are ready to invade the surface.

Australia’s sun-kissed Gold Coast is currently playing host to Aquaman (Aka The King of the Seven), and it seems production is moving along at a brisk clip.
Two weeks have passed since director James Wan posted the first status report from Down Under – for the record, it was accompanied by a set photo that appeared to have been taken within the bowels of a submarine – and now, the horror maestro has taken to Twitter to share an official photo of Amber Heard as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis. Of course, we’ve seen Heard in full costume before thanks to Zack Snyder’s upcoming Justice League movie, but whereas Snyder’s particular photo was fairly muted – favoring an ash-grey filter more than anything else – today’s all-new image is a burst of glorious, lime-green color.

Deadline has the scoop, confirming that Lin has signed on to play the part of Murk, the “leader of the front-line army of Atlantis known as the Men-of-War and Aquaman’s trusted ally.” It’s a big milestone for the Chinese star, and another example of Hollywood’s ever-expanding superhero scene offering a leg up to a young up-and-comer. Besides, thanks to his lead role in March’s Power Rangers reboot – Lin took point as the Black Ranger for Lionsgate’s lavish reimagining – the actor already has a fair amount of experience to call upon when it comes to working...

Outside of Justice League footage and the photos released of Jason Mamoa grimacing, we haven't seen a lot regarding Aquaman. Today just a little more on the film has been released as it starts shooting. Warner Bros. sent out a press release which included the title card for the DC superhero film, and it kinda looks like a warped Star Trek logo. Compared to past Aquaman logos, it's definitely a bit more rigid than past incarnations and looks a whole lot less like an A, which is the original intention behind the logo. Check the press release below and share your thoughts.

The famous Gold Coast of Australia has fast become a popular destination for Hollywood tentpoles over the last few years, what with Thor: Ragnarok and the imminent Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales using the country’s picture-perfect coastline during various stages of production. Warner Bros. and James Wan’s Aquaman is the latest blockbuster to head Down Under, and following the director’s status update from yesterday, WB has now lifted the lid on the official title card for Arthur Curry’s solo outing, along with the full cast list.
The former is embedded below, and offers a closer look at the Aquaman logo – the same one that was teased just prior to March’s Justice League trailer. Casting-wise, thanks to a fleeting cameo in Batman V Superman, we know that it is former Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa who will be taking charge as the King of Atlantis.

While we'll get to see the underwater superhero in action (a lot judging by the trailers) later this year in Justice League, Aquaman's long-gestating solo film has started principal photography.
Director James Wan has been hard at work on developing the big screen Aquaman movie the character deserves and has lined up a fairly impressive cast, based on what we know so far. Now, all those pre-production efforts are being put to use as cameras have started rolling on the film down in Australia.

Elon Musk and Amber Heard strapped up and held on tight ... for a little semi-extreme fun in Australia. The couple went ziplining in the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary on the Gold Coast. The actress and Tesla honcho had a lot on the line here, and not just because he was trusting his multi-billion dollar ass to a safety harness. Two of Elon's 5 sons came along, so Amber had the added pressure of being dad's cool gf.
