Excellent

This movie is an interesting look at the artistic underground in China, but more than that its a thought provoking meditation on the value of life. Its also a good story... the ending has several unexpected and shocking plot twists, and this movie will leave you thinking for a while. In spite of (or perhaps because of) the rather dark quality of the movie, it leaves you with a deeper appreciation for life.

The film left a huge debate in China

The literal translation of the title of this film is: Extreme Cold.

The film is based on a true story, which did created much debate when it actually happened, but when it was turned into a movie, there was a huge debate about the right to die. The debate left behind by this film is still unsolved but through it, it really makes everyone appreciate life.
