Sex & Nudity

  • The main character of Venus DeMilo is named for a nude sculpture and despite being a turtle has a shapely humanoid female form, with her shell taking the place of clothing. The series also features a female vampire who appears as a "sexy" woman in a revealing outfit.

Violence & Gore

  • Swashbucking violence like the 3 stooges
  • Minimal; the Turtles rarely if ever use their weapons to full effect (similar to the 1980s animated series) and the majority of violence is portrayed in slapstick fashion. It lacks the explosions and destruction of Saban's better known Power Rangers franchise, but like that series little actual harm is done to any characters.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Dragon lord might scare younger viewers
  • The most intense moments probably take place in the pilot in which Venus' original master and Splinter are attacked by the series' new villains, resulting in the former's death and the latter's imprisonment in an alternate dimension. Venus also attacks the Shredder and uses magic to bring out his suppressed true personality of Oroku Saki, which appears to cause him great pain.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • In one instance a villainous vampire character is actually reduced to ashes, but her voice is later heard emanating from an urn containing them, indicating that she's not truly dead.
