Reka Nagy, a sex symbol of communist Romania
RodrigAndrisan2 June 2016
I saw this movie for the first time in a cinema in Bucharest in 1973. I was 14 years old then, the age when you start to have spontaneous erections and ejaculations, after some erotic dreams at night, during sleep. One subliminal cause could be the Romanian-Hungarian Reka Nagy who, after Irina Petrescu had shown their breasts for the first time in a Romanian film, "Rautaciosul adolescent"(1969), she dared to show everything from a distance, in a forest. Kinda like Hedy Lamarr in "Ecstasy", only this time in a communist film. Such an image marks you as a teenager, specially in a communist regime, where many things were forbidden. "If you mess with women, God takes your minds," says at one point the character played by Ion Dichiseanu. I liked that because it's true, I have experienced it myself. In conclusion, it is not total bullshit this scenario signed by director Francisc Munteanu. Otherwise, only a war movie in the spirit of Ceausescu era.

nothing original. but this is its virtue. old atmosphere, nice music, a young Ion Dichiseanu, Romanian action ingredients, nice music by Temistocle Popa, a love story and perfect end for the spirit of period. patriotic spices in one of Francisc Munteanu works. and beautiful Reka Nagy in a symbol-role of woman force. a story about courage, duty, sacrifice. interesting as remember of Ceaușescu era sensitivity and vision about past - form of legitimacy. good occasion to discover , in a short role, Great Zephi Alșec. and for understand strategies to make art under politic pressure. it is not a bad or a good movie. only a crumb from past. and naive manner to present a slice of war.
