PVR Director’s Rare is all set to release a never seen before piece of work by legendary actor & director Joy Mukerji, Love in Bombay. With this presentation, PVR Director’s Rare pays its tribute to one of the most respected figures of Indian cinema. The unreleased movie is digitally restored and now ready for theaterical screening for the first time on August 2nd, 2013.
The “Love in” series started with Joy Mukerji debuting with the blockbuster hit Love in Simla in 1958, followed by the golden jubilee hit Love in Tokyo in 1966. ‘Love in Bombay’ completes the trilogy when it releases this august, 40 years after its production in 1973.
In the movie, directed and acted by Joy Mukerji, co-stars late Ashok Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Rehman and the versatile virtuoso Kishore Kumar. The music is composed by Shankar-Jaikishan and lyrics are penned by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

The last film of the “Love in” trilogy, Joy Mukerji’s unreleased Love in Bombay will see the light of the day on August 2, 2013. Love in Bombay will release in all major cities of India through PVR Director’s Rare.

One for sure was the lack of permission to watch Television. Forget the mugging of TV channels on today’s kids, back then, we had to rely on Mickey Mouse, occasional Kolkata league football match and yes, the Wednesday 8 Pm Chitrahar. Rangoli was the other attraction a little later but at 7:30 Am on Sunday mornings it was never within our reach. We never had a TV of our own till the late eighties. September 15, 2010: Shilpa Tulaskar needs no introduction; this talented actress has done many shows like Shanti, Palchin, Dil Mill Gaye, Ladies Special and many others.
Now Shilpa is all geared up to enter Rajan Shahi’s ‘Chaand Chhupa Badal Mein’ this week, in a special cameo. Shilpa is very happy and thrilled about this role, as she is getting a chance to play not only a Marathi lady, but also to get dressed in the typical nine yard sari with proper traditional ornaments.
