According to the 2002 book about grindhouse cinema entitled "Sleazoid Express," Patty was a mockumentary released in hard-X, soft-X and R-rated versions. It was made to cash in on the real life kidnapping of Patty Hearst.
The film's tagline was "The story of a revolutionary, told in highly erotic terms."
The film had been considered "lost," but the negative for all three reels was rescued from a condemned movie theater in New Jersey in 2007 and sold on eBay to a DVD company on January 14, 2008. As of 2021, it had still not been released on DVD or Blu-Ray.
