Two years ago, legendary manager Shep Gordon was lying in the hospital, recovering from gastrointestinal surgery, when Mike Myers approached him with an idea he'd been obsessing over: a documentary about Gordon's life. Gordon – a Zelig-like figure who'd befriended everyone from Michael Douglas to the Dalai Lama and was best known as Alice Cooper's manager – reluctantly agreed. "I was heavily medicated and must have been feeling sorry for myself," says Gordon.

School's out for Bad Teacher -- even earlier than expected. CBS has decided to pull their cancelled comedy from the schedule effective immediately.
On Bad Teacher, a former trophy wife (Ari Graynor) masquerades as a teacher in order to find a new man to marry. The rest of the cast includes Kristin Davis, David Alan Grier, Sara Gilbert, Ryan Hansen, and Sara Rodier.
The network cancelled Bad Teacher earlier this month but it looked like they'd let all of the remaining episodes air. Not so.
For the immediate future, they're replacing Bad Teacher with reruns of The Millers, a Thursday night comedy that has been renewed for a second season.
There are eight unaired episodes of Bad Teacher remaining and CBS hasn't announced any plans to make them available as yet.

The filmmakers behind Super Duper Alice Cooper dub their work the first "doc opera", and it comes pretty close to living up to that hype. Tracing the remarkable career of the band Alice Cooper (a moniker derived from a drunken Ouija board session), we get a nice overview by directors Reginald Harkema, Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn of the hedonistic rock of the 70s right through to the present day."Alice Cooper" became not just the band's appelation but the legal name of its flamboyant yet macabre lead singer. From "I'm Eighteen" to "School's Out", Cooper's songs continue to be a staple of Classic Rock radio. The story behind this rise, as well as the many slips along the way (be they professional or personal)...

Music fans rejoice! Two of Canada's greatest documentarians have returned to Hot Docs in 2014 to examine one of the most enduring stories in rock 'n roll: Alice Cooper, in "Super Duper Alice Cooper." Sam Dunn and Scot McFadyen are a pair of super-duper filmmakers that have so far given us "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey," "Global Metal," "Iron Maiden: Flight 666," and "Rush: Behind the Lighted Stage."
This production super duo have a real knack at getting you to care about bands you may have never wanted to know anything about. Alice Cooper has legions of fans around the world, and they will love this film, but for many, he's just the guy in the scary make-up. If that describes you, prepare for a highly enjoyable Alice Cooper education.

Elton John, Iggy Pop and other rock stars pay homage in this so-so bio-doc about the notorious rocker
This competent but underwhelming portrait of the 70s/80s rock star sticks to the usual wave-graph structure of a thousand other rock bio-docs: the subject starts from humble origins, rises to the top, declines due to substance abuse and ego issues, and ends up finding fame and happiness at last through sobriety, comeback concerts and managing not to die. All that's missing is the obligatory footage of a Hall of Fame induction. That said, the often snake-draped Cooper has always been a charismatic presence who gives good quote, and even if the music hasn't aged well bar the big hits like Eighteen and School's Out the film makes a persuasive case for his influence and appeal. Borrowing from the visual playbook of the Robert Evans-centred doc The Kid Stays in the Picture,...

It seemed to be some sort of rule of thumb with the more iconic of horror baddies – the bigger you are then the harder and much more spectacularly you fall, usually amidst a climatic showcase of visual effects that have stretched the already limited budget of the film to near breaking point. I guess that's part of their enduring appeal. I mean, would Dracula really have been as unforgettable as he is if he was easily snuffed out by a simple baseball bat to the dome? Could you imagine watching a version of King Kong where the ape was simply put down like Old Yeller instead of being shot down from the top of the Empire State building? Some of these deaths have become as iconic as the villain themselves, complimenting the closing of the film with some final reel fireworks. Even a nameless henchman has a fighting chance for...

“It’s a fat camp! Are you kidding?”
School's out for summer and, for some kids, that means camp. Gerry (Aaron Schwartz) is 11 years old (and unaccountably in high school) and his parents are sending him to Camp Hope. The pathetic promo video starts off weak, but the promise of a big bouncy thing in the middle of a lake and go-cart races are intriguing. Then he sees the campers—they’re fat. It’s a fat camp. Gerry ain’t interested but his father (Jeffrey Tambor), who is clearly a bit ashamed of his son’s weight, makes him go. Things start off fine. He meets a few veteran campers like Roy (Kenan Thompson) and Josh (Shaun Weiss) as well as camp counselors Pat (Tom McGowan) and Tim (Paul Feig) and they’re all pretty cool and provide a safe, no-bullying summer. But when the Bushkins (Jerry Stiller and...

School's out for Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) in the dark and diabolic penultimate episode of the wizard saga. Leaving the safety of Hogwarts behind, the intrepid trio head off into the unknown as Voldemort fine tunes his evil plans for world domination. Alice Cooper has said that he taught Lady GaGa to "co-exist" with her onstage alter ego. GaGa was said to be pleased to meet 'School's Out' rocker Cooper because he influenced her stage shows, but he revealed that he warned her against letting her stunts and on-stage persona become part of her everyday life. Cooper - born Vincent Furnier - told Reader's Digest: "She said, 'Alice, thank you for letting me steal your show.' "I said, 'GaGa, I created a character called Alice. But it's important to keep Alice on stage. I never let Alice take over my real life'. "I guess what I was trying to say was, 'Be outrageous for the cameras. Wear a chicken on your head. But don't get suckered into thinking that stuff is real. When you're at home, just be yourself. If you can learn to co-exist (more)...

Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie have clashed during their current joint world tour. The two metal frontmen are said to have come to blows after Manson started his show at Michigan's Dte Amphitheater late on Friday (October 12). Due to his lateness, he was forced to cut his setlist short, and apparently told the crowd that he was "going to beat [Zombie]'s ass", reports Bloody Disgusting. Zombie later cursed Manson throughout his set, continuously shouting "F**k you Marilyn Manson" during his cover of Alice Cooper's 'School's Out'. The singer and director later took to his Facebook page to voice his surprise and disappointment at his co-headliner's behaviour. "Unfortunately things turned ugly backstage," he wrote. "Why? I don't know, but for some reason our touring partner decided to (more)...

You know things are wack on "Teen Mom" when Maci is the episode's Mean Girl.
Let's recap: When last we saw Maci and her baby daddy, Ryan, they had amicably agreed to have separate celebrations for their son's birthday. Sure, Maci had started a twit-storm with his girlfriend, Dalis, tweeting that it would be much better for Bentley if she and Ryan were still together, but they were past that now.
Or were they?
After consulting sugar daddy Kyle (he didn't land the role of Landry in "Friday Night Lights," but he's an excellent extra on "Teen Mom"), Maci decided to celebrate Bentley's Birthday Eve at Pump It Up! Then she goaded her son into calling Ryan to invite him -- and Dalis -- to the party. When Ryan called back the next day (Bentley'd just got his voicemail), Maci handed off the phone to her son and told him to ask again.

What's the heck is going on with the big Fae war? Is it coming? Or, is it a Faery tale?
Okay, I'm sure it's going to develop soon, but tonight's "School's Out" didn't provide any insight into the war or how they are going to stop it.
While this episode had quite a few important individual moments, overall, it was lackluster. The show excels when it focuses more on the Fae world and happenings. The investigation had a Fae culprit, but mostly didn't revolve around that world.
Even though the case wasn't all that compelling, there was movement in the relationships. Lauren and Nadia returned from their trip to the lake. Initially they seemed to be as in love as ever, but it turned awkward when Bo showed up. Later, Lauren pushed Nadia away to instead do work for Bo's case. Though, later they did hook up, so their status is rather unclear.

The eponymous kid goes on summer holiday in this amiable entertainment that rattles along likably enough
School's out for the summer, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid is back for a sequel. Zachary Gordon is the eponymous kid, Greg; Devon Bostick is his supposedly cool elder brother, Rodrick, and Steve Zahn is their long-suffering dad. Greg's hoping the summer will bring nothing more than an opportunity to mature and improve as a gamer, but fate has other plans. The first movie looked pretty moderate, but the new one is an amiable entertainment that rattles along likably enough. It begins with the design conceit of the black-and-white line drawings morphing into live-action figures, but this is dropped after the introductory sequence; otherwise it's a pretty straight family comedy. Zachary Gordon himself may become the Shia Labeouf or Joseph Gordon-Levitt of the future, or fade from view after these movies. Either way,...

Actress Amber Riley has played down reports she is leaving Glee for good, insisting her tweet on the subject was "misconstrued".
The 26 year old, who plays Mercedes Jones on the musical series, was rumoured to be bidding farewell to the show at the end of the current third season as her character graduates from school - and she fuelled the gossip with a post on her Twitter.com page on Wednesday.
She told fans, "That's a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life. I'm going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them every day! I have so many brothers and sisters now. But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! School's Out Glee Kids! Let's play!"
However, Riley returned to the microblogging site on Thursday to address the speculation about her future on the show.

Glee actress Amber Riley has become the latest star to leave the hit U.S. TV show.
The 26 year old, who plays Mercedes Jones on the musical series, will bid farewell to the New Directions glee club at McKinley High at the end of the current third season as her character graduates from school.
After filming her final scenes for the programme, she took to Twitter.com to write, "That's a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life.

Has Amber Riley called it quits on "Glee"? After starring on the hit Fox show for three years, she tweeted what seemed like a goodbye message:
“That's a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I've known day in and day out for three years. I'm going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday! I have so many brothers and sisters now. But I am looking forward to a much needed and deserved summer vacation! School's Out Glee Kids! Let's play!”
That tweet was followed-up by this, sending somewhat of a mixed message to fans:
We're guessing she means stay tuned to the show's season finale to find out where Mercedes is going after graduation, but there's still no official word about her fate on the show.
Last year, Riley hinted to E! Online that she was contemplating leaving the show behind.

Amber's cryptic tweets have fans gleeking out about the future of Miz Mercedes Jones. Much like real-life high school seniors, the upperclassmen on Glee are facing an uncertain future on the show, and fans are dying to know which of their favorite graduates will find a way to return in the fall. "That's a wrap!" Amber Riley tweeted May 9. "Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I've known day in and day out for three years. Most of the stars of "Glee" wrapped Season 3 yesterday -- but for some of them, did they also say goodbye to their McKinley High characters forever? The buzz this morning is that Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Dianna Agron (Quinn) are off the show next year, after both of them posted some very sentimental messages on their Twitters."That's a wrap on Amber Riley! Just closed a chapter in my life, the only thing I've known day in and day out for three years," Riley tweeted last night. "I'm going to miss the whole Glee family, seeing them everyday," she adds. Justin Bieber seemingly has it all. The 18-year-old singer has legions of adoring fans, millions of dollars and an adorable girlfriend in Selena Gomez. And now he has one more thing he can add to that list - a high school education.
"I just finished high school," he tells The Telegraph. "I passed my test - I'm free! It was hard doing school and work every day."
The Coiffed One explains that amidst all of his accomplishments, finishing high school was something he want to do for his mother. That said, it doesn't sound like he was particularly fond of it.
"That was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her," Bieber says. "I mean, this kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I've been able to travel the world. At school, usually you have to do a lot of writing and reading.

School's out -- time for some summer fun! There's no better feeling than sleeping in, exploring your neighborhood and staying out late. Frankly, we're jealous of all the young kids that get three whole carefree months of relaxation and adventure, capped off with a cool matinee in an air-conditioned theater. This summer has got new offerings from the likes of Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks animation and features everything from heroic princesses to ghost-talking kids to battling dance squads. (And we can't forget about the nut-chasing Scrat the Squirrel.) Below, check out Moviefone's round up of cartoons and family films we're most psyched for this season. Dot Marie Jones just sealed her second guest actress Emmy nomination with her stellar performance in the Very Special "Glee" episode "Choke," right? Coach Bieste has shown a real vulnerability over the past two seasons, and Jones did a great job in the poignant material she was given as Bieste struggles with domestic abuse by her new husband Cooter.
It's a shame she went back to him in the end, and even sadder that she had to lie about it to Sue. If it's handled anywhere near as well as the recent teen suicide plot, this storyline could be truly awesome.
Now, on to the titular "Choke" -- Rachel and Kurt finally had their Nyada auditions, and Kurt took a risk and absolutely nailed it while Rachel choked on "Don't Rain on My Parade," a song she's been belting since she was a toddler.

For Rock Week on "DWTS," Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough once again lit the ballroom floor on fire with their chemistry. They danced a tango to Alice Cooper's "School's Out," which was an interesting choice. But the performance was great.
"You guys have such incredible chemistry while you dance ... there were such beautiful lines," said Carrie Ann. And Bruno added, "Beauty, attitude and sex appeal." Len gave a little constructive criticism with, "Occasionally it lost a little bit of control ... you've got great posture, though."
The judges gave two 9s and an 8, which was the second-highest score given out Monday night (April 9). Plus, Maria has already hurt her rib and is now apparently dancing on feet that have stress fractures! Holy cow, what a trooper. Does she have your votes, "DWTS" fans? Video below.

Erie, Pa. -- Master of macabre Alice Cooper did not disappoint metal fans here last weekend during the latest stop on his No More Mr. Nice Guy tour. The veteran shock-rocker captivated the near-capacity crowd and proved his continued relevance as a heavy metal entertainer.
Cooper took to the stage Saturday night after an introduction by the late Vincent Price echoed through the French Renaissance-style Warner Theatre. The showman extraordinaire lived up to his reputation when he made his entrance dressed in a spider costume on a pulpit high above the crowd.
At 63 years old, Cooper's vocals sounded great throughout the evening. The rock ghoul managed to keep the audience amped up for more than an hour. Cooper changed costumes and other accessories at least a dozen times during the 21-song set, which began with "The Black Widow" and ended with the hit songs "I Love The Dead," "School's Out" and "Elected.

While it's true that Ozzy Osbourne may well be the Prince of Darkness, there is only one undisputed King, a man who has rocked and shocked audiences all over the world with his outrageous, and outrageously entertaining live shows for over four decades, and who shows no sign of letting up any time soon. I speak, of course, of the one and only Mr Alice Cooper, a man who has forgotten more about horror movies than most people know to start with (with the possible exception of the encyclopaedic Kim Newman), and in whose company I was privileged to spend an hour and a half on the Friday before Halloween at the British Film Institute in London as he discussed his favourite Nightmare Movies with an audience of just 400 or so people.

Before I get to the news part of this, can we discuss semantics? What is a sequel to a prequel? That would be just the regular thing, right? Well what if it isn't? See, Hollywood, all this stuff is getting really out of hand.
Magneto was born this way.
Charles Xavier will make a man out of you.
From the DVD.
The point is, they're making a sequel to X-Men: First Class. That movie was polarizing to say the least. I thought that it was absoutely ridiculous. Especially the end "joke" about women. That wasn't Ok. Some people actually enjoyed the movie though and to those people I acknowledge that everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
But the First Class sequel moves on. God willing it'll be called something incredibly stupid like X-Men: School's Out or X-Men: X Marx Da Spot. Apparently Jennifer Laurence, Michael Fassbender, and the whole...

If last week's The Walking Dead was too quiet for some viewers, this week's outing surely compensated with its non-stop zombie assault on Shane and Otis. School's out .... forever!
Let's start back at the farm, where little Carl is still fighting for his life. Hershel tells Rick and Lori that if Otis and Shane don't get back soon with the medical supplies, they're going to have two choices: Either watch Carl die from internal bleeding, or watch Carl die from the operation. Decisions, decisions!
Carl does momentarily regain consciousness, and as he's telling the story of the pretty deer in the forest, he stops in mid-sentence, his eyes glaze over, and his body goes limp. Rick and Lori look on in horror, but he's not dead, he's just catatonic, and about to have a seizure that leaves him flopping around on the bed.
