Trivia The name of the character Auntie Macassar is a play on the term "antimacassar," which refers (fittingly for a "big comfy couch") to a cloth placed on the headrest area of a couch or chair; it can also refer to similar cloths used on the arms of a chair. The term comes from the practice of men slicking down their hair with macassar oil, which was in vogue during the 19th century. The oil would stain couches and chairs if slicked-down hair came into contact with the headrest, so an antimacassar cloth helped prevent those stains. See more »

Crazy Credits In every episode during the end credits, the camera is facing at the couch with the night sky. Loonette appears at the end saying "And the clown jumped over the moon" See more »
