Hollywood was very generous with help, and besides Kibbee, there's Mel Blanc doing the voice in a cartoon sequence (sounding like Bugs Bunny), and Craig Stevens in a small role. Bernard Vorhaus, an actual Hollywood director, was in charge of this, and if it seems rather dry to me, it was a matter of life and death for its intended audience.
