Row, Row, Row was a fascinating early Max Flesicher Screen Song cartoon
Just watched on the Uncle John's Crazy Town site this Max Fleischer Screen Song cartoon. It concerns a person (who's either a dog-an early version of Bimbo, perhaps-or a bear-he sorta resembles Van Beuren's Cubby Bear), who goes to a bar and picks up a girl despite her being with someone. In fact, they perform an Apache dance before she chases him to a boat which is when the title song gets performed with the Famous Bouncing Ball before the characters start stepping on the last verses. Plenty of funny gags involving kissing an octopus or fish. Quite a fascinating find for a pre-Code cartoon. So on that note, I highly recommend Row, Row, Row.
