For Saturnin Fabre
I bought that new DVD just for Saturnin Fabre and didn't expect much about it. I was right, it's silly and dumb, Saturnin is still Saturnin, a pleasure to watch his gesture when speaking with his special intonation (ah his apparition in "Marie Martine"). I discovered Kerien, I'm not at all fan of his acting, but in the circus scenes, I had that funny revelation, I thought I saw Darry Cowl. Not a must.

Lion(and people)tamer.

The most original thing in this so-so comedy is to see handsome Andrex as the foil to Jean Kérien (and not the other way about). Both work for TPT (=tout pour tous =everything for everyone) a service company ,but in which the latter accepts all the odd jobs nobody wants ;thus the first part is the most satisfying and the poor lad who "cannot say no"(he even sings it) but who will eventually learn how to reply with a categorical no , is so meek,so weak and so easily influenced it's impossible not to take pity on him .

Things begin to deteriorate with the heritage ,and the circus artists (particularly the clowns) overplay in a way which is almost unbearable, forcing the star to do the same ,and he's not really convincing as the master who rules everybody with an iron hand.
