Howard Post's inability to meet the deadlines of contracted shorts, as well as the poor reception by executives, particularly with Two by Two (1966) having anti-religious overtones with the plot surrounding Noah's Ark, led to him getting fired from the studio. Shamus Culhane would be hired to replace Post while fixing up this bumpy transition, resulting in finishing up shorts previously incomplete for release. By the time this was finished, animator Larry Silverman was long gone from the studio, already working at Hanna-Barbera on the West Coast.
