Stupid NYC porn
lor_10 November 2010
Its opening minutes suggesting sci-fi, SUE PRENTISS R.N. quickly lapses into a sloppy, all-sex outing, typical of '70s NYC grind-house fare. Why it has been reissued by four video companies is anybody's guess.

Annie Sprinkle appears in the title role, but nothing is made of it -I don't think her character's name is even mentioned in the scenario. She and other nurses are charged with delousing and examining a group of Ed Norton (the Art Carney character, not the current actor) wannabes who have just emerged from the subway after hunting for alligators.

A control voice booms out orders, as the guys are quarantined, exposed to an ultraviolet light treatment (zero SPFX budget here) and it seems as if some deadly disease or alien invasion is in the works, but not to worry -porn alert ahead! Film consists of everybody, notably the always-aggressive "give me the mic" Bobby Astyr, talking all at once in what passes for porn-improv. It bears no relationship to the comedy one sees locally at Caroline's, but is merely the filler of a throwaway hour-long XXX feature.

Not only Annie but another nurse with huge breasts (Nikki Hilton) demonstrates deep throat technique. I see that they costarred together again in ill-fated Michael Findlay's 3-D movie FUNK, apparently lost and on my wish list to see someday.

Otherwise, movie is a listless orgy with IMDb citing Ron Dorfman as uncredited director. He often worked for Shaun Costello, and a telltale scene here of fellatio on two guys at once is a Costello trademark, so either SC or RD can be considered the culprit behind the camera. Film ends abruptly with two (take your pick) double-penetration shots (one strictly vaginal, the other featuring anal sex) leading to ejaculation, the "That's All Folks!!" sign-off of generic porn.
