One month ago, I reviewed Visa Pour l'Enfer directed by Alfred Rode, really not a masterpiece but seeing his wife, the gorgeous Claudine Dupuis, is an absolute pleasure. I had already seen La Môme Pigalle in which she is so sensual. So I wanted to see another Rode-Dupuis movie.
I found C'est la Vie Parisienne, love comedy in color from 1954. And how entertaining it is, especially the first part. Philippe Lemaire, Claudine Dupuis and Raymond Bussières are exquisite, lot of very fun moments (don't miss Bussières trying to be an aristocrat).
The second part is not so good, Bussières and Lemaire are far less present, but don't miss Saturnin Fabre, what a genius he was. And Claudine Dupuis has one of her best number ever.
Thank you Claudine, Philippe, Raymond, Saturnin, and the others...
