Like most silent movies, two negatives were shot. Negative A, for domestic release, was used in 1930 to make a shorter version synchronized with now-lost sound discs. Negative B and a nitrate print were the basis for the 2012 Cinemathèque Française restoration, with the original tints by the Desmetcolor process.
