Note-Perfect Genre Homage!

Fans of 50's cinema, particularly the films of Jack Arnold, are sure to get a kick out of this lil' ditty. Eschewing the normal miserablism of what normally passes for film-making in Northern Ireland the makers of Saucer have really out done themselves. The B&W scope cinematography by Seamus "High Fidelity" McGarvey is flawless, Ardal O'Hanlon is as amusing as ever and the script contains more sly subversive guffaws than most features.

praise for keady boys

When I first saw it I was amazed that anyone from Northern Ireland, where comedy begins and ends with 'the Hole in the wall gang' could produce anything so adept and so funny. I can't wait to see their first full length movie, they are NI's answer to the Coen bros

A satire on 50's Sci-Fi that hits its target

Its a great sign for a satire when you can see the film makers appreciation and knowledge of a subject. You can just imagine these filmmakers spending years of their lives in darkened rooms watching "Plan 9 from outer space", "The day the earth stood still", "This island earth" et al. and you know they know all the classic lines from them.

Acting, Story, Music, Photography all spot on, in short - Encore!!
