Good Family Movie
Dog-River26 March 2020
I first watched this movie as a child and I absolutely loved it. I watched it multiple times. Although, when I watched it as an adult, it didn't quite hold up to what I had thought as a child. But, it is still an enjoyable family movie. It has a good story and the overall message is great. It's a nice movie to watch with your family. I recommend it.

Never give up in what you believe.

Can there be a movie without sex, chase scenes, mayhem and killing? This was just such a movie. A great family type movie with a moral; if you believe in something, then be willing to fight for it. I enjoyed watching this one a second time this evening, having seen it over a year ago. While some may snicker at the tale as fool hardy and unbelievable, it has a ring of truth to it. Look around and see how many times one person with determination has made a difference. History is replete with such individuals of tenacity and plain old guts. The acting was excellent by both the newcomers and the "old heads." Worth the time to view, even with your family and friends.

Good Movie

Family Tree is a good movie, although not award winning, it has a good lesson. I liked the feeling of an entire town coming together for a cause. The movie is about a kid named Mitch (Andy Lawrence) who isn't the most coordinated or popular kid in town. His best friend is a tree. It doesn't help him to have an overshadowing older brother Mark (Matt Lawrence), who also is the narrator. His dad (Robert Forester) is desperate to get a business going in their town and the have to build a town where Old Oak (the kids tree is). You get the picture. Overall is was a good movie so I give it 6/10

excellent movie

Family tree is an excellent movie. Naomi judd does a beautiful job as a loving country mother with a sensitive heart of gold while robert forester plays a tough and critical father. Andy lawrence is perfect for this role as a child whose best friend and the only one that undertands him, a tree, is about to be lost forever.

It has a soundtrack with known songs on it from people like the judds, leann rimes, and JoDee messina this movie is a captivating family movie that teaches not only to to stand up for what you believe in but to have respect for nature. I would recomend it to any one looking for a good movie to show their kids.
