Murder Mystery as a Ghost Story
aesgaard4115 November 2000
Better known as "Buried Secrets," Tiffani-Amber Thiessen just barely proves that she can pull off a movie by recycling a traditional theme of a spirit returning to catch its murderer. Although much of the movie drags on Tiffani's physical appearance [but hey, who's complaining! ],this movie doesn't have much in the ghost department to make it much of a really good ghost story except for Tiffani's character being possessed by a the spirit of a girl. There's a big loop-hole in the continuity in that Tiffani is supposed to be possessed even while we can see her talking to the ghost;isn't it supposed to be inside her ? Tim Matheson is the father of the girl haunting the house, but I can't seem to figure out what kind of accent he's supposed to be doing,,,,Irish,Scottish,Gaelic ? The mom if I remember right,Melinda Culea from the A-Team,[without checking],seems distant to the affairs and consequences of her daughter. It's an interesting movie for ghost fans who don't appreciate a lot of gore.
