While the film presents a fictionalized encounter between composer Lamartine Babo and writer/poet Oswald de Andrade in the 1930's, Colé Santana (who plays Oswald) was in his early 60's while the real Oswald was in his mid 30's on that decade. Despite the age difference, Santana bears a little resemblance with the author.
Released on the same year as The Brazilwood Man (1982), also a fantastic comedy that had Oswald de Andrade as one of the main characters. Both film worked as a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Modern Week Art from 1922, of which Andrade was a key figure.
