The film was plagued with controversies from day one. First Divya Bharti stated in a magazine she would never have an affair with Armaan because he was so old. Then Gavin Packard spread word in the media he caught Armaan and Divya red handed together. He later stated he said that for publicity. Armaan felt Divya was immature. She would smoke openly and and use abusive language in front of the unit. Armaan stated that Divya would distract him when he was doing a serious scene. Her back was to the camera and Armaan was reciting his lines. Divya began punching his stomach to distract him. Armaan went on to say he did not have a decent conversation with Divya due to her immature attitude.
The film did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia, Canada.
Problems between Gavin and Divya Bharti continued with the film. Gavin stated during the shooting of a south film with Divya, the film film unit went to a night club after pack up. There a drunk Divya made a pass at Gavin. Divya grabbed Gavin from behind and jumped on his back. This angered Gavin as he asked her what her problem was. Divya apologized and said she had mistaken him for another person from the film unit. Gavin stated this was a lie because that other person was short and dark. When Dushman Zamana rolled, Gavin and Divya continued having issues.
