A good porn film from the past, Tangerine has beautiful Jennifer West as the titular character who sets up her supposedly underage daughters to have sex with unsuspecting dupes who are then told to pay up or else... Newcomer, Holly McCall as Faith, charges $1,000 a time and all she needs is twelve sessions with Mr Hammersmith and she can buy her own little sports car. The other two girls, Hope (Lori Blue) and Charity (Angel Ducharme) have less to do but they still deliver the goods.
The film is set in Tangerine's house in which she is hosting a dinner party and she and her daughters are called upon, using their womanly skills, to uncover a scam involving businessman, Haley (Richard Pacheco). Richard Pacheco is probably the luckiest guy in this film having great sex with the girls as well as bedding the stunningly beautiful Jennifer West. Juliet Anderson as the sexually repressed aunt overacts to the nth degree, but as the old saying goes, a hard man is good to find, and auntie is repressed no longer.
This review is for the DVD release from VCX. Despite giving this film the thumbs-up, I have given this film only five stars because I feel that something is missing. The film opens with the dinner party guests all looking at something outrageous but we never see what it is they are looking at. The editing of this scene also hints that something has been cut. Also, the bedroom scene with Haley and Tangerine starts with them already naked and seemingly already having had sex. The run time of the DVD is only 72 minutes compared to the French theatrical release of 85 minutes. Overall, I like this film but I still feel cheated.
