Valborg doesn't seem to serve any purpose to plot whatsoever. Valborg is obviously a returning character and made to be a replacement for Kjell, as both the actor and character had passed away, but she isn't given anything to do when it come to the story. The creators obviously didn't wanna exclude her and give her less screen time, but unlike previous installments where Valborg is present only for a short amount of time throughout the story, she did serve a purpose.
During his conversation with Hallandsen in the bathroom, Egon ask for two accomplices to help him with the task of stealing the briefcase, as he never work alone. But this isn't true. Egon did the coup at Hallandsen's factory in Olsen-banden og Dynamitt-Harry går amok (1973) all by himself without the help of Benny and Kjell.
