Plot : A baroness is worrying because her son is not interested in girls at all at twenty ;so she asks her friend, another socialite ,to take care of him ; as this friend possesses a yatch on the French Riviera where the action takes place ,she invites the lump on her luxury boat where he is going to meet a lot of well-to-do and well off people .Her daughter is among them and pretty soon they are rowing on a dinghy .The boat capsizes and they end up on a desert island ,2.5 miles from the coast ;but this is not a desert one ,because the owner is present ; and it seems that no-one is impervious to his charm ,and the castaway girl is no exception.

Henri Diamant-Berger ,in spite of his name, (Diamond) is a pretty mediocre director whose career spanned 40 years but who never produced anything really worthwhile ; if this one is not abysmal ,it's because of a rather astute screenplay ,with an unexpected ending which makes sense : instead of having the girl choose between a mysterious handsome man and an awkward lump of a youth , the writer/director opts for another solution. Directing is listless, acting is old-fashioned and affected ,but there are shrewd clues given to the viewer as far the ending is concerned.
