Storyline
Plot Summary |
Rutger Hauer stars as small-town detective Gene Reardon, a once-disgraced policeman who is assigned to work on a high-profile kidnapping case. As luck would have it, he must report to a decorated FBI agent, Wallis Longworth (supermodel Paulina Porizkova), who happens to be his ex-wife. The clues of the case lead nowhere and tensions mount, until a surprise break fingers a suspect - Reardon. As the victim's body is discovered, the hunter now becomes the hunted and Reardon and Wallis must pull out all the stops to prove his innocence and find the real killer. Following a single clue, he makes a shocking discovery and ambushes his suspect - facing off in a terrifying shoot-out that explodes into a violent, breathtaking climax no once could have predicted. |

Quotes |
Gene Reardon:
Just a feeling. That's what a woman would say, isn't it? Wallis P. Longsworth: And a man would say? Gene Reardon: And a man would say "Where's the proof? Where's the evidence? There's no logical reason to believe a woman kidnapped him." Wallis P. Longsworth: No logical reason? Gene Reardon: No, not based on what we know. Wallis P. Longsworth: We don't know anything. Gene Reardon: Exactly, we don't even know if he was kidnapped or not. Mike Pelton: Three more questions. Buster Cummings: Have we considered the possibility that he has been abducted by aliens? Mike Pelton: That's Eighteen. Gene Reardon: Would the FBI still have jurisdiction? Mike Pelton: There's nineteen. Wallis P. Longsworth: All the way to the moon and beyond. Right boys? Mike Pelton: Twenty. See more » |
