Vanessa used to be on ITV on weekday mornings at around 9:30 and although I never watched a full episode, what I saw of it was total rubbish. It was presented by Vanessa Veltz.

A different subject would be debated each morning with a studio audience and guests. A lot of the time, everybody lost their tempers with each other and shouted. They acted like little children of infant school age. How this got passed as entertainment I will never know. It is a wonder they didn't run out of subjects to talk about.

The show finished when Vanessa Feltz defected to BBC1 after she got a higher wage offered to her and she presented The Venessa Show on that channel, which turned out to be a complete flop.

As for Miss Feltz herself, I think she got slightly big headed after she made a lot about losing weight (although I don't dislike her). Millions of people manage to do this each year, so I don't know what made her a special case.

"Vanessa" was one of the UKs first chat shows, in the same genre as "The Jerry Springer Show" and "Oprah". It's guests were the general British public sharing their dilemmas - such as "My Dad Turned Out To Be My Mother!" and "Stood Up At The Alter - He Was With A Man!". It was made by ANGLIA Television and was taken off the air after rumours that the guests were actually actors. Vanessa Feltz moved to BBC One and the "Vanessa Show" was scrapped for the same thing. Tricia Goddard took over the slot with "Tricia" but is now the "Jeremy Kyle Show" with the man himself. Vanessa is now doing shows such as "Fat Camp" and appearing on sub-shows such as the Lotto Draw. Tricia Goddard is now on five with the "Tricia Goddard Show".
