A group of scientists are doing research in X -rays .At considerable personal expense ,for three of them fall ill.The older professor tells his unfortunate mates that they can still save their fellow men's lives ,if they carry on with their work.This obsession with time running out will surface again,with better results ,in Yvan Noé's best film "La Cavalcade Des Heures" ,one of the sleepers of the French cinema.Unfortunately ,in "Les Hommes Sans Peur" ,directing is not up to it ,and a bland love affair (with an obligatory happy end) gets in the way.
Two good ideas though:
First scene: -A man and a woman meet on an Eiffel Tower in the process of being built.Their opinion differ :is this monument art or not?
Last scene: -They meet again in the same place but now the tower is complete.
