Le printemps (1909)
** 1/2 (out of 4)
Those wanting something a tad bit more surreal from director Feuillade are certainly going to find it here. This film shows us various objects that you might relate to spring (a spring, a lake, a tree, birds and so on) and shows us the fairies that "bring them to life" or something like that. I'm really not sure what the actual plot here but we're basically shown various vignettes with ladies dressed in white who are superimposed over the images. Again, I'm not sure what all of this is suppose to mean or what the director was trying to do but it's mildly entertaining up to a point. At 7-minutes I think it wears its welcome out early on but some of the images are so bizarre that you can't help but be entertained on some level.
