Plot Summary

Jimmy Jump, an active young man when employed, is out of a job and in despair. He is about to hang himself. But thinking of the landlady's daughter with whom he is in love, he resolves to make another attempt to win out. Meeting by chance an old time acquaintance who is dapperly dressed, Jimmy is told that selling oil stock is the best game in the world. On leaving Jimmy is surprised to see him enter his boarding house and somewhat curious Jimmy returns and overhears a conversation where by his landlady subscribes her "all" for the oil took his friend has to sell. Jimmy makes an investigation, finds out that the stock is worthless and returns in time to save the widow from losing her money. Written by Copyright Description from Library of Congress
