‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&b) spoilers here and we’re set to close the week out in style with plenty of fun spoilery goodies for Friday, June 7.
There’s going to be some interesting developments in this episode, and with so much happening it’s going to be interesting to see how Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) reacts to it all.
Now that she’s got an ally in John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), Hope will feel better that someone so close to Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) sees what she does.
Though that may not be very helpful since Steffy laid down the law about Finn respecting her decisions in her work.
But there’s always another way.

Calista Flockhart says the anorexia rumors that swirled around her during the heyday of Ally McBeal cast a pall over her experience on the show.
“I loved working on Ally McBeal, and it just made it sour,” the actress tells the New York Times in a wide-ranging profile. “I was very sleep-deprived and I was depressed about it. I did think that it was going to ruin my career. I didn’t think anybody would ever hire me again, because they would just assume I had anorexia, and that would be the end of that.

The close-knit "Star Trek" family has lost one of their own today. Actor Gary Graham, most well-known for playing the role of the Vulcan Ambassador Soval in "Star Trek: Enterprise," sadly passed away early in the morning January 23, 2024. His death was first announced in a Facebook post by his ex-wife and actor Susan Lavelle (viaParade.com). No cause of death has yet been revealed, except that it was described as "sudden." Graham was 73 years old.
In addition to starring in "Enterprise" and even showing up for a brief appearance in "Star Trek: Voyager," Graham was more than willing to lend his talents to various roles in "Star Trek" fan films throughout the years, bringing Soval back to life in several unofficial movies that may not be formally sanctioned in the official canon of the franchise, but nonetheless speaks to the actor's passion for the character and his appreciation for the Trekkie community.

Barbenheimer kicked off when both Greta Gerwig‘s “Barbie” and Christopher Nolan‘s “Oppenheimer” were released in theatres on the same day last year on July 21. However, the fun-spirited, lighthearted rivalry between the Warner Bros. comedy and the Universal biopic has continued into this awards season. Both “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” have often been the most nominated films at various awards groups and two performers have found themselves head to head in pretty much every precursor so far: supporting players Robert Downey Jr. and Ryan Gosling.
Downey Jr. plays scheming politician Lewis Strauss in “Oppenheimer” and produces a thoughtful, fierce performance as the film’s primary antagonist. Gosling, meanwhile, has the time of his life in the year’s most colorful performance — playing Ken, the doll obsessed with Barbie, in “Barbie.” You couldn’t get two more contrasting performances — both are genius in their own measure. Updated: In another sign that shows — even famous ones — can no longer “live forever” on streaming in the new era of media companies re-prioritizing profits, a slew of titles will be leaving Disney-controlled Hulu in the coming days as their license deals expire. Disney CEO Bob Iger may be neck-deep in negotiations with the Writers Guild of America (WGA) this week, but his employees at Hulu continue to have an eye on saving the company money on his behalf. A new report from Vulture indicates that a large swath of classic TV series are leaving Hulu at the end of this month, including some shows that fans of ’90s TV will recognize instantly.
The good news in this latest round of cuts from Hulu is that it appears to be isolated to these shows, at least for now. Vulture reports that unlike content removals which occurred earlier this summer for Disney streamers, this latest batch is not intended as part of larger cost-cutting measures intended to bring immediate relief to the bottom line; rather, the shows being removed are coming to the end of their licensing agreements, and Disney has simply decided to...

Carol Locatell was born on December 13, 1940 – a date that happens to have been a Friday the 13th. So it seems very fitting that when she embarked on an acting career, her role in the 1985 slasher Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (watch it Here) would turn out to become the role she was best known for. Locatell delivered a hilarious performance in that film, making the foul-mouthed Ethel Hubbard someone fans have been having fun watching for nearly forty years now. Sadly, Locatell is no longer with us. She passed away recently at the age of 82. Ron Sloan, who played Ethel’s dimwitted son Junior in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, broke the news of her passing on social media last night.
Sloan wrote,
Dearest friends, fans, and Horror family,

Rachel Sennott continued her impressive run as a quick-witted, creatively vulgar comic in Bottoms, which premiered during South By Southwest’s second night. But she does something more impressive in Ally Pankiw’s I Used to Be Funny, her second starring turn in this festival that highlights her full dimensionality. Though she still gets to show off her standup skills here––Sennott garners laughs in a series of scenes performing in comedy clubs, something movies and television are rarely able to achieve––this character study about trauma’s unpredictable ripple effects doesn’t foreground too many jokes. As the title implies, this is a movie about losing (and attempting to regain) a defining characteristic due to circumstances out of one’s control.
When the movie opens, Sam (Sennott) has just discovered and become distressed over a 14-year-old (Olga Petsa) who’s gone missing. The significance of their relationship is unclear...

The Beach Boys were one of the biggest musical groups of the 1960s. But that doesn’t mean they completely dominated the entertainment industry. The band provided the theme song for a short-lived ’60s sitcom that few have heard of today.
The Beach Boys’ massive musical success, including dozens of hit songs and best-selling albums
The Beach Boys were formed in 1961 and were composed of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and their friend Al Jardine. Brian was the creative mastermind behind the group’s music, while dad Murry Wilson managed them.
The group dominated the charts in the ’60s with hit singles like “Surfin’ U.S.A,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me, Rhonda,” and “California Girls.” The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and still tour today.

"She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" might technically be a half-hour legal comedy on paper, but it's so much more in practice. Because its titular attorney also happens to have superpowers — and is (more or less) a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe — "She-Hulk" is also a superhero show. And because Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) is also a thirty-something working girl, the series also has to juggle her duties (and desires) as a normal, human woman with all the superhero hijinks that ensue. All this combined leaves little room for She-Hulk to dominate in the courtroom.
At the end of the day, "She-Hulk" is less a legal comedy about a superhero than it is a superhero show about a lawyer. This switch has a lot to do with the series writers who, according to Jessica Gao, weren't as adept at creating those "rousing trial scenes" that fans may have expected The case-of-the-week...

Who says the musical is dead? The last 10 years have been jam-packed with effervescent, hilarious and melancholy movie musicals for moviegoers of every kind. Whether they incorporate their songs magically into the narrative or simply break at every possible turn for another gangbusters performance, these films kept a song in our hearts and married their wonderful tunes to memorable, sometimes completely unforgettable storylines. To each of these incredible films we say, “Bravo.”
Runners-Up (alphabetically): “Anna and the Apocalypse,” “Get On Up,” “Frozen,” “Jem and the Holograms,” “The Last Five Years,” “London Road,” “The Lure,” “Moana,” “Pitch Perfect 2,” “Tangled”
10. “The Greatest Showman” (2017)
The life of circus entrepreneur P.T. Barnum was nowhere near as sappy and sanitized as it appears in Michael Gracey’s “The Greatest Showman.” But then again, selling tickets to see an entertaining lie because the truth is inconvenient and/or grotesque is entirely in keeping with Barnum’s modus operandi.

Chicago – Stefani Joanne Angelina Gemanotta, also known as Lady Gaga, is the only reason to see the latest iteration of ‘A Star is Born.’ The luminous stage presence that propelled her to music superstardom is present in her major film debut, taking the female lead reins from Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand.
Rating: 3.0/5.0
The rest of the film, directed by the male lead actor Bradley Cooper, is a choppy journey through the template of fading male star/rising female star and their relationship. This story line was established in the original 1937 “A Star is Born” starring Janet Gaynor and Frederic March, with Judy Garland in 1954 giving it a spectacular musical spin, Barbra Streisand switching to musicians rather than actors in 1976, and now Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper continuing the musician path with the current version. It was Cooper that made some choices with his character that are distracting, and the...

When Ally McBeal premiered 20 years ago today, it was hailed as a quirky legal dramedy with a fun and feminist bent. Calista Flockhart starred as Ally, a recent Harvard Law graduate forced into quitting her job after she was groped at work by a male superior. She sued the company for sexual harassment and signed on with Cage & Fish, another firm in Boston with some all too familiar faces (married ex alert!) and its own set of workplace issues. Right away, the David E. Kelley-created Ally McBeal was a hit with critics and audiences alike. The New York Times called it "refreshing and offbeat." Flockhart won a Golden Globe in 1998 for the series' first season, and the show won the Emmy for Best Comedy...

Twenty years ago, we didn’t know many dancing babies, and we didn’t think much about women’s wattles… and then Ally McBeal premiered and changed everything.
Ally was a soaring comet of a TV show, burning bright for a few years (winning an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series and landing on the cover of Time magazine) before flaming out after just five seasons. But it still left us with a legacy of Barry White dance numbers, Fish-isms and a quirky blend of comedy and drama that paved the way for countless genre hybrids to follow.
The series premiere — airing on Sept.

If you haven’t taken advantage of all that Hulu has to offer lately besides “The Handmaid’s Tale” – which everybody should really, really watch right now – then you’re missing out.
“The Handmaid’s Tale’ has been a groundbreaking series for the streaming service, thanks to its foreboding story about a near future in which a portion of the United States has been turned into a theocracy. This new world of Gilead subjugates women and makes the fertile ones become breeders for high-ranking officials. Moving performances by Elisabeth Moss, Samira Wiley, Yvonne Strahovski, O-t Fagbenle and Alexis Bledel have made this series a must-watch.
Not only does Hulu have strong original programming like “The Handmaid’s Tale,” but it is one of the best places to watch shows that are currently on TV now, which makes cord-cutting that much easier. It also has an impressive catalog of past shows that are well worth revisiting.

I loved it.
Melissa Benoist, whom I first saw on Glee, packed up her beautiful singing voice to play Kara Danvers, nee Kara Zor-el, bears no blame for the general snorrrrre that is the hallmark of the show. Neither do any of the following: Chyler Leigh as kick-ass secret government agent-who-also-happens-to-be-Kara’s-Earth born sister, Alex; Mehcad Brooks as no-longer-cub-reporter-now-Pulitzer-Prize-winning photographer Jimmy Olsen, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw-Director-of-same-secret-government-agency-which-makes-him Alex’s boss-and-who-also-happens-to-be-j’on J’onzz the Martian Manhunter; Jeremy Jordan as lovelorn-for-Kara-and-not-yet-revealed-to-be-son-of-supervillain-The Toyman techie Winslow “Winn” Scholl, Jr., or Calista Flockhart as Ally McBeal-all-growed-up-and-head-of-her-own-media-empire Catherine (Cat) Grant.
No, the cast is fine. Portia De Rossi, who reportedly finished up a stint in rehab for alcoholism recently, allegedly taped her wife Ellen DeGeneres during a drunken fight.
Was Portia Taping Drunk Fights With Ellen?
Prior to her reported 30-day stay in a rehab facility, De Rossi, 41, allegedly taped arguments she’d had with DeGeneres, 56. The Arrested Development actress reportedly hoped to show her wife’s less positive attributes in action.
“Portia secretly taped some of their arguments. She was drunk,” a source told InTouch magazine. “Then she threatened to expose Ellen as controlling and manipulating.”
“Portia going to rehab was the first step in saving their marriage,” the source added. “They want their marriage to work more than anything.”
Portia's Alleged Rehab Stint
Earlier this month, an insider told the tabloid about De Rossi’s unconfirmed visit to rehab, claiming that Ellen’s “domineering” personality led De Rossi to seek solace in alcohol and prescription pills.

Meet the new Wonder Woman: Adrianne Palicki.
If you’re scratching your head at the casting, don’t. Palicki, who may only be a familiar name and face to some, is a fantastic choice to play the iconic DC Comics superhero, with four seasons of NBC/DirecTV’s Friday Night Lights under her belt. (She also recently returned for the critically praised but ratings challenged series’ finale earlier this month.)
On the Texas-set drama from Peter Berg, Palicki played Tyra Collette, a hard-nosed trashy townie who, with the help of guidance counselor Tami Taylor (Connie Britton), takes control of her life and eventually departs Dillon for college. Like just about every actor on Fnl, Palicki was pitch perfect: fun and playful and when her character cleaned up, the actress delivered in grand fashion with a newfound sense of innocence that she paired brilliantly with the self-doubt of a high...

She burst onto the acting scene on Broadway in 1966 alongside Jack Klugman in "The Sudden & Accidental Re-Education of Horse Johnson" and went on to do several more productions including "Pippin" in 1972. She last appeared on the Broadway stage in 2006's "Barefoot in the Park" alongside Tony Roberts and Amanda Peet.

Wonder Woman is back in the news, and this time she's getting—the Ally McBeal treatment?! 'Tis true, Ally creator David E. Kelley is the latest Hollywood bigwig to take a stab at resurrecting the Wonder Woman franchise. But unlike those who've ventured into the abyss before him (we're looking at you, Joss Whedon), Kelley has secured a deal with Warner Bros. to bring the princess to the small screen. Since 2005 some semblance of a Wonder Woman redo has been rumored, with gals like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jessica Biel said to be in the running to play the Amazonian...
