Raimu goes off his nut.

"Noix De Coco " is filmed stage production style and it's not as good as its follow up "Circonstances Atténuantes " or even "La Chaleur Du Sein" .The main problem lies in the choice of the actress Marie Bell whose playing in ineffective in a comedy :it would have taken Arletty or Françoise Rosay's sense of comic .

Of course the cast is the reason why you would like to watch this old-fashioned Théâtre De Boulevard :Raimu,Michel Simon and the unfairly forgotten Gilbert Gil have plenty of go and save this story of a man (Raimu) who discovers that his well-mannered wife was once a cabaret singer ("Noix De Coco")who had affairs with the first to come including himself in his prime .To make the matters worse ,the stepson (Gil) is in love with stepmom.
