Singing contest
bkoganbing27 April 2017
Although not quite as good as the shorts he did for Mack Sennett, this short subject with Bing Crosby has enough of Bing's unique personality to more than satisfy his army of fans. An army in 1933 that was only just beginning to grow.

The film deals with Bing breaking down in a small town and having his car repaired by a jealous mechanic and also appearing and winning an amateur singing contest the locals.

Featured in this film are a pair of his early hits, Please which Bing introduced in The Big Broadcast and A Ghost Of A Chance which he popularized over the radio that year. Some real treasures for his record collectors.

The film is a treasure too.
