The film spelled the end of the strong partnership between Edith Kiel and Jef Bruyninckx. The talented cutter went to work for Joris Diels and at the initiative of the Belgian government accompanied Emile-Georges De Meyst and Charles Dekeukeleire on a fact-finding mission to Hollywood. Three years later Bruyninckx directed his first film 'The tale of the Good Murderer.'
