A satire of the Technocracy social movement of the 1910-1940 era. This Technocracy group was most popular between about 1930 and 1935. The goals of the Technocracy movement were: the removal of all politics and banks from manufacturing, distribution, and retail; radical changes to the work week such that all workers had a rotating schedule of four workdays of four hours a day, three days off allowing 24/7 staffing of all business while each worker got 4 weeks of paid vacation a year; basing currency on 'energy units' as a commodity; councils of engineers and scientists to direct all infrastructure and manufacturing; the abolition of the Price System; extensive automation in manufacturing; and more. Seen by bankers, politicians, and others as at best cranks Techno-Crazy is a fascinating view of how their foes viewed them.
