WOMAN IN THE BOX: VIRGIN SACRIFICE is a film that is more comparable to the newer wave of fetishistic AV films than it is to it's roots in the pinku world. The only thing that really separates this film from the average AV fare, is the semblance of some sort of storyline, threadbare that it may be. No subs/dubs on this one either - but you don't really need 'em to get what's going on.
A young woman is abducted by a perverted couple who use the girl for their twisted sex games. These "games" range from bondage, to forced-piercing, to rape, to enclosing their "toy" in a box while they drain her blood (hence the title...). The girl survives her ordeals, and is eventually released by the couple, and even finds a bit of fame as a model - but finds that after the "abuse" that she's suffered, she's learned to enjoy the treatment and actually longs for her captor's attentions (as is a common theme amongst these types of films)...
For fans of pinku material with a bit more "substance" plot-wise - WOMAN IN A BOX: VIRGIN SACRIFICE will not be of any real note, but those that prefer "harder" pinku material will definitely wanna track this one down. Similar in tone (as EMBALMER mentioned) to CAPTURED FOR SEX 2, or perhaps ALL WOMEN ARE WHORES - this film is actually even LESS involved in story-telling than the two aforementioned films, and is more just a cavalcade of relatively strong sexual-torture themes (not that there's anything wrong with that...). My main gripe (as is with most films from Japan like this) is the heavy pixelization that makes the accompanying sex-scenes almost tedious to watch. If the film were totally uncensored, I surely would have ranked it higher - but so much of the "action" is unseen, that it's really a disappointment (though this is to be expected of most Japanese sex-films). Whether "harder" or "softer" pinku films are your thing, I'd still recommend this one as a strong entry in an overlooked genre...7/10
