Post WW2 French Drama 2 Reeler
Mozjoukine21 November 2015
One of later efforts Of Kirsanoff (MENILMONTANT) this post war sound short takes a while to get going.

The two old friends meet in the street and resolve to go fishing together.

The film builds to the De Maupassant climax, as they are taken prisoner by a German patrol which brings them to painter-officer Francoeur. He gives them the choice of giving up the pass word to re-enter the French area or be shot.

Included in a filmed off off wide screen copy in the Dimitri Kirsanoff compilation.
