Seeing Nelly Home
boblipton19 November 2017
After a boring evening spent at a private home listening to ladies play the piano and vocalize, Edgar is eager to get home and to to bed himself. First, however, he has to see an increasingly batty series of women home in this typically amusing episode of his RKO series.

Edgar Kennedy had a long career in movie comedy, from early Keystone comedies, through his death in 1948. For sixteen years, his "Common Man" series of short subjects was released through RKO in which he played a middle-class man subjected to the iniquities of an unkind world, miserable people and his own ineptitude, punctuated by by his famous "slow burn", in which he finally and inevitably lost his temper.
