Leon Errol seems to think more of his dog, Dobe, than his wife, Dorothy Granger, so she conspires with the milkman to get rid of him -- the dog, that is. Leon overhears them, and, in the manner of comedies, thinks they're talking about getting rid of him, so he hires Private Eye Tom Kennedy.
Clearly this was before Angie's List. In any case, the fun in Leon Errol's short comedies is to watch him jitter his way through a situation when we know he's absolutely wrong, and here's he's as wrong as he usually is. It's all very frantic and rrote and highly enjoyable in the hands of longtime professionals.
