Ed Brady has killed about a dozen of the police department's detective squad, so they have promoted a batch to that rank and sent Lloyd Hamilton to capture Brady.
Hamilton had starred in some of the best short-form comedies of the mid-1920s, but he had been out of the game, and with the introduction of sound, was looking for a new screen character, even if his signature look remained the same. This short, directed by Roscoe Arbuckle, is quite good, although Hamilton is more a utility comic here than any recognizable character. It's definitely worth your looking at, for a couple of good gag sequences.
