After Joan's fiasco with Derek, Javon, and Toni, Joan travels to New Orleans (after Hurricane Katrina) for several months to help re-build homes. Toni moves to New York so that Morgan can be closer to Todd; meanwhile, Joan is hurting because Toni has refused to reach out to her.
