What a great piece to add to the Stooges!

This hilarious bit was a great idea by AMC to promote "NYUK" - New Yuk University! With the professor of Stoogeology: Leslie Nielsen. He was great as the professor, and the guest appearances by Dan Lauria (famous for being the wonder years dad) and Carrot top were great. The Anna Nicole intros were not good at all but the various comedic bits that Leslie would lead were the best. And then the little things that those who study and appreciate comedy will find hilarious: The gorilla in the classroom, the constant calling on "Johnson" as a student, and the simple writing on the blackboard with notes, facts, and even "punishments" (Written over and over: I will watch the Stooges on AMC) !! The trivia bits were nice; I wish Leslie and Co. would have dolled out more trivia for a lot of the die hard fans who tuned in. I'm glad I recorded these from TV with a VHS tape back when this was on from 2000-2002, because they are a treat to watch whenever I want to see the stooges again! They did way more than just "ten" intros like stated in another review. They were very worth it, right down to the classroom set and classic Leslie antics. Enjoy!

Funny for a while

These little couple-minute "N.Y.U.K" intros to the Stooges shorts when AMC was showing them were funny for a while, but quickly became grating. I'd be like "Just get to the Stooges already!" once they started recycling the intros (there must have been like only 10 at most). Plus the guests just tried too hard (Carrot Top; the Wonder Years dad) or seemed completely out of their element (the especially-ditzy-at-that-time Anna Nicole). Anyway, it was sure better than having commercials in the middle of the shorts. Hopefully AMC will pick up the good IL' Stooges again!

This was considered a SHOW?

Who would have guessed that simple silly little intros would be considered a television series. So, what's next, commercials will be listed on IMDb? Are they already? These introductions were funny but thankfully not too funny, at least they could not measure up to The Boys. But, then again, no one can measure up to The Boys. Leslie Nielson and company did a nice job and gave some interesting trivia but was it really necessary? Nah!

A local Boston TV station shows The Stooges on Sundays with no commercials and no intros. That's the way I like my Stooges. They stand on their own quite well and don't need any help. Now, spread out, wise guys.
