We know things are hard for the Walt Disney Company right now, but is the Mouse in such dire straits that it’s selling off Fort Wilderness Cabins on Facebook Marketplace? Well, it’s partially true.
Cabins that used to be at the Fort Wilderness resort in Walt Disney World are for sale on Meta’s social media site. However, the 20+ year-old rustic shelters are no longer Disney’s property.
It turns out that the Walt Disney Company isn’t selling the cabins. Dream Life Mobile Homes is behind the “Take Fort Wilderness Home” sale. Early last year, we learned that the resort was getting rid of several cabins in favor of more updated guest lodgings.
Click Orlando spotted the fully furnished former resort dwellings on Facebook Marketplace. Each cabin is 500 square feet and surprisingly affordable in today’s market.

2023 was a huge year for Roblox and its community of game developers. According to a company filing, the 18-year-old sandbox title paid out $741 million to creators during the most recent calendar year, with 100 different games each bringing in at least $1 million in sales.
Game designers use Roblox to build interactive experiences for the platform’s 68 million daily active users, the majority of whom are 16 years old or younger. The projects built in Roblox use the in-game Robux currency to generate sales; Robux can then be exchanged for real-world currency. According to Bloomberg, the exchange rate from Robux to U.S. dollars is about 285-to-1.
Though past investigations have asked whether Roblox exploits its community of game-building minors, the amount of money paid out to the platform’s creators has been steadily increasing. Earlier this year, Roblox revamped its Creator Marketplace so that creators could take home 100% of the earnings from assets like models and plugins.

The steady upward trajectory of 27-year-old YouTube star Drew Michael Scott’s career — he uses his middle name to distinguish himself from the similarly named Property Brother — is no accident.
Neither is the fact that Desenio, the buzzy Sweden-based e-commerce wall art brand beloved of millennials and Gen Z-ers in over 35 countries, tapped the online home design personality for a partnership to launch their expansion into the US. The 12-print collection, inspired by Scott’s love of vintage, launched at the end of September; prints range from $20 to $55.
With 1.1 million followers on Instagram, 1.4 million on TikTok, and 1.68 million on YouTube (where he launched his career at age 12), it’s clear Scott, who posts as Lone Fox Home, has highly-sought-after demographics on speed dial.

The Unreal Engine Marketplace now offers 88% revenue to creators, Epic announced Thursday. This is an increase from the 70/30 split previously offered, and the increase is effective immediately. Further, the increase will apply to past purchases as well, meaning retroactive payments will be issued to creators— a generous move sure to be appreciated by developers of the Marketplace’s assets.
Tim Sweeney, founder and CEO of Epic, noted the overwhelming success of “Fortnite,” the flagship title of the publisher, as part of the deciding factor to make the switch.
“Thanks to both the Marketplace’s growth and the success of ‘Fortnite,’ Epic now conducts a huge volume of digital commerce,” said Sweeney. “The resulting economies of scale enable us to pass the savings along to the Unreal Engine Marketplace community, while also making a healthy profit for Epic.”
