Lost film.
This is the only film of Théo Dubuisson, a native of Lessines (in the province of Hainaut), who in his home town concocted this edifying melodrama which he produced, wrote and directed, even casting himself in the role of his heroine's drunk uncle. After managing to complete "Ombres et lumière", he presented it in Lessines and elsewhere (preceded by a short lecture on "How to Make a Film"). To beef up publicity, he presented himself as "the only Catholic director in the country". He then returned to oblivion.
